# Using course templates (MyStudio)

In **MyStudio**, course templates make it faster and easier to set up new courses.  
Instead of starting from scratch, you can select a template that provides a ready-made structure with pre-built sections, units, and sample content.

## Where to Find Templates

You can access templates in three ways:

1. **Create Button (Left Menu)**  
* Click the red **Create** button.   
* Browse or search available templates.
* Use the **search bar** or **filters** (e.g., subject, level, category) to narrow results.

2. **Templates Page**  
* Go to **Templates** from the left-hand navigation.  
* View all pre-built course templates in one place.  
* Use the **search bar** or **filters** (e.g., subject, level, category) to narrow results.

3. **My Courses Page**  
* Click **+ New Course**.  
* Choose **From Template** and you’ll be redirected to the Templates page to make your selection.

## How to Use a Template

1. Select the template you want to use.  
2. Review its structure—sections, units, and sample content.  
3. Click **Create from Template**.  
4. Fill in the course setup form:  
* **Course Title**  
* **Organization**  
* **Course Number**  
* **Course Run**  
5. After creation, you’ll be taken to the **Course Outline**, where you can:  
* Replace placeholder content with your own videos, readings, and assessments.  
* Add or remove sections as needed.  
* Adjust settings (grading, certificates, branding).
