What are templates?

In MyStudio, templates are pre-built course or playlist structures that help you create learning content more quickly.

Instead of starting from scratch, you can begin with a template and customize it to suit your needs.

Types of Templates

Provide a ready-made course outline with pre-structured sections, units, and sample content.

Example: A “4-week training course” template might already include weekly modules with placeholders for videos, readings, and quizzes.

Provide a starting point for building playlists, with a suggested sequence of videos or courses.

Example: A “Legal Research Basics” template might include key video topics already arranged in order.

Save time – Templates eliminate the need to build structures from the ground up.
Consistency – They ensure courses and playlists follow a standard format across your institution.
Flexibility – Every template is fully editable; you can add, remove, or rearrange content as needed.

Create Button (Left Menu) → Choose Course or Playlist → Select From Template.
Templates Page → Browse all available course and playlist templates.
My Courses / My Playlists → Start a new item → Choose From Template.

Templates in MyStudio are time-saving starting points for building courses and playlists.

They provide structure, consistency, and flexibility—so you can focus on creating impactful learning content faster.
