Earning certificates and completion criteria

In EBC Learning, you can earn certificates for both individual courses and multi-course programmes.

Certificates are issued once you meet the defined completion and grading requirements.

Course Certificates

• Certificates are automatically generated when you meet the passing grade for the course.
• Self-Paced Courses: Certificates are usually available immediately after you pass.
• Instructor-Led Courses: Certificates are typically made available within 48 hours of the course ending.
• You can access certificates from:
• Your Dashboard
• The Progress tab inside the course
• Your Profile / Accomplishments page

Programme Certificates

• A programme certificate is awarded only after you complete all courses in the programme.
• This means you must first earn the individual course certificates for every course in the programme path.
• Once all course certificates are issued, the programme certificate becomes available.
• You can view it from the My Programmes tab on your dashboard.

Completion Criteria

To successfully complete a course (and by extension, a programme):

• Achieve at least the minimum passing grade defined in the course grading policy (e.g., 65%).
• Submit all required assignments, quizzes, and exams.
• For Instructor-Led Courses, meet any additional requirements set by course staff (e.g., attending live sessions or completing peer reviews).

Types of Certificates

Depending on the course and subscription type, you may receive:

• Standard Course Certificates (included with most tracks)
• Verified or Professional Certificates (if enabled, may require identity verification or fee)
• Programme Certificates (issued once all course certificates in the programme are earned)

Sharing Certificates

• Click View Certificate to download or print.
• Certificates can be shared on LinkedIn, Twitter, or Facebook directly.
• If badges are enabled, they can also be viewed in your Accomplishments section.

In Summary

• Complete a course → earn a course certificate.
• Complete all courses in a programme → earn a programme certificate.
• Self-Paced: certificates appear immediately.
• Instructor-Led: certificates are issued after the course ends.
• Access all certificates via your Dashboard, Progress tab, or Profile.
