Tracking your progress in a course
Tracking your progress in a course
Every course in EBC Learning includes a Progress tab that helps you keep track of your scores and completion.
This page shows both a visual chart of your grades and a detailed breakdown of scores by course section.
Progress Chart
At the top of the page, you will see a chart that summarizes your overall performance.
- The horizontal axis lists graded assignments (e.g., quizzes, exams, exercises).
- The vertical axis shows your percentage score from 0% to 100%.
- A passing line (for example, 65%) indicates the minimum grade required to pass the course.
- Each bar represents your score for that assignment type. Bars above the line meet or exceed the passing threshold, while bars below it fall short.
- An average/total bar at the end shows your overall course score so far.
Detailed Section Breakdown
Below the chart, you’ll find a table listing every course section (such as Introduction, Module 1, Module 2).
For each section, you will see:
- Unit titles (e.g., Welcome, Why take this course?).
- A note on whether there were graded problems in that section.
- Scores earned on assignments in that section, if any.
- A running total that contributes to your course grade.
If a section contains no graded problems, it will simply state “No problem scores in this section.”
Key Points to Remember
- The Progress tab is updated automatically as you complete quizzes, assignments, and exams.
- Some assessments may only appear after their due date passes or once they are released by course staff.
- If the course policy drops the lowest score (for example, dropping one quiz), this will be marked with an “x” above the affected assignment.
- Practice activities may appear in the course but will not count toward your final grade.
In Summary
The Progress tab is your main tool to monitor learning performance.
It gives you:
- A visual chart of how you are doing on graded activities.
- A detailed breakdown of scores by section.
- A clear indication of whether you are on track to meet the course’s passing criteria.
